2010 foals

Bay purebred arabian colt.   High percentage egyptian, although I do not know the exact percentage.  Foal will have genetic potential to throw all colors as he is Ee, Aa if anyone is looking for a sabino to add to their breeding program.

Photos his first day with his blankie.  

Photo at 4 days old.  He is going to have a nice long hip, laid back shoulder, tippy ears and that little white spot over his left eyelid will set him apart from the crowd.  His maternal grandsire is my old herd stallion Amurath Scorpio who was a great horse and this guy reminds me a bit of him.  He has three white stockings and the blaze that extends to include his whole chin.  Foal is for sale for $900 including board until August 25, 2010, registration and necessary paperwork including brand inspection, coggins and health if needed for transport.  I would expect this colt to mature at 15 to 15.1 hands.  

Photos below taken March 20, 2010 at almost a month old.  It is still quite snowy, and now it's muddy too.

Pedigree of colt

Red Rock Radiant Legacy X Montana Blue Kaliko 
Kaliko (pronounced calico) is by a bay overo stallion and a solid bay mare.  Sire is by the sabino stallion "bp rockmy world" and out of a solid bay morgan mare.  This filly is  1/4 morgan, 1/4 Paint and 1/2 Arabian.  Full pedigree supplied upon request.  I have no idea how tall this foal will be, mare is 15.2(parents were 16 hands and 14.2), stallion is 14.1(parents were 15.1 and 14 hands) as a three year old.  Foal can be registered "half morab" since morab sire is registered.  Paisley has been spoken for.

Born  in the early morning hours of Feb 7, 2010 is the chestnut filly I will name Red Rock Paisley.   Photos taken at about 6 days.

updated photo taken on Feb 26,   She is growing like a weed.  She looks so huge next to the new baby.  You can see how much she has grown in two weeks if you compare this photo with the one taken two weeks ago in relation to her mothers elbow. 

New photos taken Mar 20, 2010, this is such a sweet filly.  She doesn't race around like Mickey, she likes to hang out with people as if they will do something interesting that she doesn't want to miss by running around by herself.  or maybe it's because she's a girl instead of a rough and tumble boy?  The base of her mane is getting quite flaxen like her mommas.  She is very light around her eyes, but her muzzle is turning dark.  Still unsure of white markings.  Her hoof color is white, so I expect she has white, just not sure if they are anklets or high stockings.

new photos taken June 14.  She is shedding her foal coat and it is coming in very grey.  She is not grey and so will be interesting to see her final color.
